To all my peeps in and around Oklahoma City, I hope you're safe in the wake of yesterday's vicious tornado that ripped through Moore.

This time-lapse footage of that tornado is just...it's stunning.

I live in a part of the U.S. where tornadoes are honestly not that common (although when they do come, they come in clusters as what happened in Western Massachusetts a couple of years ago). Microbursts, yeah. But monsters like this?

Dear God. That footage is pure nightmare fuel.

(Did I mention that my second-worst fear after heights is tornadoes? I'm really, really scared of tornadoes. I do not know how people in the U.S. Midwest/Southeast/Southwest can live with the constant threat of tornadoes over their heads. I really, and truly, do not. I will take the most violent of nor'easters — aka, a hurricane with snow — over a tornado any day.)

Wanted to reread an Avengers fic I was too stupid to bookmark. I knew it was about PTSD, so naturally I used the PTSD tag while declaring that I'd read every summary until I found it.

16 pages of that tag later I have *counts* 34 fic tabs open. But I still haven't found my fic. AND I WANT TO READ IT MORE THAN I WANT TO READ ANY OF MY OPEN TABS.

It's gen, about how Clint and Natasha take a while after doing deep undercover to turn back into their normal selves, basically go catatonic. And Coulson's alive, but in the hospital and not available to help them transition, so Tony and Pepper are helping them bathe and dress and stuff, and it's just really really GOOD H/C gen.

Any of you recognise it?

Another of my latest Spike graphics - Been do some re-watch of Season 6 and falling in love with Spike all over again. How in the devil can some fans have so much dislike for this season I simply don't understand.

I went to check my email and my homepage had a big headline about the tornado in Oklahoma. I've spent nearly an hour watching that coverage. That shit just twists my stomach all up in knots, you know. I hate tornados. I mean, yeah, who doesn't, but I'm like utterly terrified of them at the same time that I am also oddly fascinated, idk. I think that latter part is my farmer-father's influence. I mean, I handle it all well when we are getting a storm here just because I am used to it - in Michigan, the weather makes you its bitch, in that you never know what it will do tomorrow. But we don’t get tornados very often, and certainly not like they do on the flatlands, though we have had a couple small ones here, when I was a kid, and I remember them distinctly. They couldn't have been more than an EF-1, if that even, and let me tell you, that was plenty enough for me. I keep saying someday I’ll share those stories, but not today.
